What is Fer 1 and Fer 2?
Allama Iqbal Open University has recently seen the result card of FER 1 and FER 2 students but some students don’t know what FER 1 and FER2 is. So we share this with you.
FER 1: If a student has passing marks in the assignment but has secured less than 40 percent marks in his respective subject and has no reappear before then FEAR 1 will show in his result card.
FER 2: If a student has secured less than 40 percent marks in the examination reappear exam, in that case, FER 2 will be shown on the student’s result card.
AIOU Reappear Policy 2024
All the details of the new reappear policy introduced by Allama Iqbal Open University in 2024 have been shared with you below.
- If you want to give a reappear subject paper, you must have less than 40 percent marks in the relevant subject and have passed the assignment.
- Students now need to score 50 percent in each component as well as in the final exam and even in the aggregate to pass the subject.
- If a student gets less than 40 percent marks, he/she has to retake his/her admission and clear his/her appearance which will be done when the admission is announced.
- If a student does not get a passing mark after taking FER 1 he/she will have to give FER 2 again.
- After failing FER 1 and FER 2, students can give their fail subject paper for the third time as well.
- There is no need for students to attend any kind of workshop or assignment after reappear subject admission.
- Now third chance in FER is available; however, if students availed their both chances and still failed, then he/she needs to register for their course as fresh.
This policy change aims to benefit students. If a student fails twice, they’ll need to register for the course again and complete assignments and workshops if required.
For certain phases like 10th grade, F.A., and B.A., there are no workshops. Assignments for these phases are done on paper and sent to tutors via mail. If the first assignment isn’t sent on time, both assignments can be sent together before the final submission date.
